A two-million-euro expansion project is now underway in Port Andratx. Works have started on seven additional superyacht berths, ranging between 26 and 30 metres in length, alongside parking for an extra 34 cars.
Approved at the end of 2014, this extension is much needed to meet growing demand from the many super wealthy individuals who flock to this beautiful fishing harbour in southwest Mallorca. The enlarged quay will also help to reduce swell for all other marina users.
Andratx has also been named by valuation consultancy Tinsa as being the third most expensive property hotspot in Spain after Sitges and Calvia.
Xisco Vila, Director of Vila Brothers, said, “The homes we handle in prime waterfront locations can command around 12,000 or 14,000 euros per square metre, as the kind of clientele we attract has a money-no-object approach when it comes to choosing a perfect home. Whether from Northern Europe or the United States, many lose their hearts to Port Andratx.”
